Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains what data Web Runner collects through this website, why, and what choices you have.

The data controller for this Website is Web Runner S.R.L., registered office at Str. Eroilor 196, Florești, Cluj County, Romania, Trade Registry no. J2025025706003, CUI 51609874. Email: contact@web-runner.net.

We have not appointed a separate Data Protection Officer. Privacy questions and requests should be directed to contact@web-runner.net.

We are a software company providing:

  • Custom website and web application development
  • Custom plugin and software development
  • QA testing and digital services
  • AI systems and automation services
  • Tech support and digital consulting

This policy covers the Web Runner website (web-runner.net and its subdomains) and the forms on it - the general contact form and product-specific request forms such as the NeuroForge demo-access request. It does not cover your use of an individual Web Runner product that has its own account system (Web QA OS, NeuroForge, Macro Gauge, Cyber-Aegis) - see Section 14 for where to find each product's own privacy policy.

Information you provide

When you submit a form on this Website, we collect the information you enter into it - typically your name, email address, and message, and, depending on the form, your company, project type, budget/timeline details, and an optional file attachment (contact form only). We do not collect payment card details through this Website; we have no online checkout on it today.

Automatically collected data

If you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner, our self-hosted, cookie-free visitor-tracking script (operated by our own Web Runner Dashboard product) records aggregate, coarse usage data - pages visited, referring source, device/browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address - to help us understand how the Website is used. It stores identifiers in your browser's local/session storage rather than in cookies, and we do not use it to build cross-site advertising profiles.

What we do not collect

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (health, biometric, national ID numbers, or similar) through this Website. If you include such data in a message or file you send us unprompted, see Section 8 (retention) and Section 11 (your rights) for how to have it removed.

  • Legitimate interests: to respond to your enquiry, operate and secure the Website, and understand how it is used, weighed against your rights and interests.
  • Consent: for optional analytics tracking, which you can withdraw at any time via Cookie Preferences.
  • Contract / pre-contract steps: where your enquiry leads to a Services engagement, to take the steps you request before entering into that engagement, and to perform it.
  • Legal obligation: for invoicing, tax, and accounting records related to a Services engagement.

This Website uses a cookie-preference system with three categories:

  • Necessary: always on. The Website itself does not currently set first-party functional cookies of its own; this category exists to cover baseline site functionality now and as the Website evolves.
  • Analytics: off by default. If you opt in, our self-hosted visitor-tracking script (Section 3) is loaded. Nothing in this category is a third-party advertising cookie.
  • Marketing: defined in the cookie-preference control but not currently used for anything - no marketing or advertising tracking is active on the Website today.

You can review or change your choice at any time via the Cookie Preferences control available on the Website.

  • To reply to your message or request and, where relevant, to prepare a proposal or quote.
  • To deliver and support a Services engagement you enter into with us.
  • To secure the Website and prevent abuse of its forms (our anti-abuse checks use a hidden honeypot field and a minimum-fill-time check, not visible tracking of you).
  • To understand and improve how the Website is used, only where you have opted into analytics.
  • To meet our own legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not send a newsletter or marketing email list from this Website today, and we do not use your data to train AI models. See Section 12.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only as follows:

  • Email delivery: form submissions are delivered to our team by email via Amazon Simple Email Service (AWS SES, hosted in the EU); we do not store form submissions in a database - once sent, they live in our team's inbox like any other business correspondence.
  • Hosting: the Website is hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Legal & safety: if required to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Web Runner, our clients, or the public.

If your enquiry becomes a Services engagement, we may also process your data as needed to deliver that engagement (for example, sharing project details with a subcontractor bound by confidentiality obligations, where one is used) - this will be discussed with you as part of that engagement, not silently.

Form submissions are retained in our team's email inbox for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, if applicable, to support an ensuing Services engagement, and are deleted or archived on a routine basis afterward. Records relating to an actual Services engagement (invoices, contracts, project correspondence) are retained as required by Romanian tax and accounting law, generally for several years. You can ask us to delete correspondence that did not lead to an engagement at any time - contact contact@web-runner.net.

The Website and the email infrastructure used to receive form submissions are hosted within the European Union. We do not currently transfer your Website-form data outside the EU/EEA in the ordinary course of operating the Website.

We use HTTPS across the Website, apply server-side hardening and access controls to our infrastructure, and restrict access to form submissions to team members who need them to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your data.

If the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format, subject to certain conditions and exceptions. Where processing is based on consent (analytics), you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that already took place. Email contact@web-runner.net to exercise any of these rights; we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) in Romania, or your own country's data protection authority if you are located elsewhere in the EU/EEA.

We do not use your personal data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not use data submitted through this Website to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. Separately, and for transparency: like many modern software companies, Web Runner may use AI-assisted tools internally to help design, write, or review the code and content that make up this Website. That relates to how the Website is built, not to how it processes your data, and does not change any of the commitments in this policy.

This Website and its Services are intended for business and professional use by individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at contact@web-runner.net and we will take steps to delete it.

This Website links to other products we operate - including Web QA OS, NeuroForge, Macro Gauge, and Cyber-Aegis. Each product handles its own accounts and data, under its own dedicated terms and privacy policy presented within that product. This policy describes only the Website you are currently on; consult the relevant product for how it handles your data if you create an account or use it directly.

This Website may link to third-party websites, including our own other products. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties; review their own privacy policies before visiting or using them.

We may update this policy as the Website or applicable law changes. The current version always lives at this page, with the "Last updated" date above reflecting the most recent revision.
